The short answer
There is no single best soccer recruiting website, because the main exposure in college soccer comes from club league showcases (ECNL, MLS NEXT, and others) and ID camps. Among websites, SportsRecruits matters most for club players because many clubs and showcase events provide it, TopDrawerSoccer ($109 a year) is the low-cost rankings and commitments site, and a direct outreach tool such as NextCommit (free up to 10 emails a week) makes sure the coaches on your list hear from you before the showcase.
- Showcases and ID camps: ECNL and MLS NEXT events put hundreds to 1,000+ college scouts in one place; access comes through your club team, and ID camp prices vary by school.
- SportsRecruits: free profile; Pro price not published (clubs and families report about $99 a month or $399 a year). Best when your club or event provides it.
- Rankings and media: TopDrawerSoccer ($109 for one year), SoccerWire profiles ($99 to $399, one time), and ScoutingZone (free profile, $9.99 a month upgrade, 65+ partner events a year).
- Profile networks: FieldLevel (free, Premium $29 to $79 a month) and NCSA (free profile; packages not published, families report $2,000 to $6,000+).
- Soccer-friendly outreach tools: NextGoal (prices not published) and ProductiveRecruit ($29 a month).
- Direct outreach: NextCommit (our product), free for 10 AI-personalized coach emails a week, $19.99 or $49.99 a month above that, for men's and women's soccer.
How we compared soccer recruiting services
Disclosure first: NextCommit is our product. It is listed with the same criteria as every other service, and where a competitor is the better fit we say so. We checked every price and feature on the vendor's own website on September 30, 2026. NCSA's site blocked automated checks that day, so NCSA details come from archived copies of its own pages. Where a vendor shows its price only after login, after sign-in, or on a sales call, the tables say "not published" instead of guessing, and where a price comes from clubs or families rather than the vendor, we say who reported it.
Soccer recruiting has one feature that shapes this ranking: exposure is concentrated at club league events, and recruiting software is often bundled by the event or the club. SportsRecruits runs recruiting for Elite Academy League and EDP Soccer events, ScoutingZone partners with 65+ events a year, and some clubs pay for accounts outright, so many players already have a free account before they buy anything. We grouped services by the job they do (showcases and camps, the club platform, rankings and media, profile networks, and outreach tools) and judged each on price, who does the outreach, and who it fits, for men's and women's players.

What each soccer recruiting service includes
This table lists what each service says it includes on its own public pages as of September 30, 2026. "Not listed" means we did not find the feature described publicly, not that it cannot exist.
The pattern in soccer: the event and club platforms (SportsRecruits, ScoutingZone) put you in front of coaches at events, the media sites (TopDrawerSoccer, SoccerWire) add rankings and visibility, and the outreach tools (NextGoal, ProductiveRecruit, NextCommit) make sure a coach has heard from you before the event. Most players need one of each kind, not three of any one kind.

League showcases and ID camps: the main exposure channel
Showcases and ID camps are where college soccer coaches watch players in volume, and every website on this list works best as support for them.
ECNL's 2026-27 schedule includes 13 ECNL recruitable events and 12 ECNL Regional League recruitable events. Its top girls showcases averaged more than 1,000 scouts each, and its top boys events drew more than 500 coaches. In 2024, ECNL Boys reported more than 3,000 scouts across its events over twelve months and more than 1,500 at its three national events.
On the boys side, MLS NEXT's preview of MLS NEXT Fest 2025 (December 4 to 15 in Mesa, Arizona) listed 1,474 teams from 250+ clubs playing 2,400 matches, with more than 500 professional, national team, and college coaches and about 250 college programs expected.
ID camps are the other route: individual programs run them, prices vary by school, and TopDrawerSoccer keeps an ID camp directory. The playbook is the same for both. Email the coaches on your list before the event with your schedule, jersey number, and film, so they know which field to walk to.
Soccer recruiting rules and odds
These NCAA rules apply to both men's and women's soccer.
What this means for tools: you can be seen at showcases long before June 15 after sophomore year, but Division I coaches cannot send you recruiting correspondence until then. After that date, direct outreach becomes a two-way conversation, and outreach tools start to earn their price.
- Emails, DMs, and calls: Division I coaches cannot send recruiting materials or electronic correspondence, or make recruiting calls, before June 15 after sophomore year. Soccer is not one of the sport exceptions.
- In-person contact: soccer follows the general rule, so Division I off-campus in-person contact cannot happen before August 1 at the start of junior year.
- Roster size: Division I men's and women's soccer rosters at schools in the House settlement defendant conferences, or that opt in, are capped at 28, and opt-in schools can award athletics aid to any rostered athlete instead of working under sport-by-sport scholarship maximums.
- Odds in women's soccer: the NCAA counts 377,838 high school players and 29,959 NCAA players, so about 7.9% play NCAA soccer. The NCAA fact sheet we used does not include men's soccer.
- Scholarships: across all sports, only about 2% of high school athletes receive athletics scholarships.

The free Women's Soccer Recruit Score compares your profile to each division. Men's players can use the Men's Soccer Recruit Score in the related links below.
SportsRecruits: the platform many clubs and events already give you
SportsRecruits is the most useful soccer recruiting website for club players whose club or showcase provides it, and the free profile is worth having either way; paying for Pro yourself is a closer call.
SportsRecruits is the exclusive recruiting platform for Elite Academy League events (since November 2024, with free accounts for all attendees) and the exclusive recruiting technology provider for EDP Soccer showcases (since March 2022). Clubs often pay for it: the MLS NEXT club BUSC, for example, provides SportsRecruits to its players and families free of charge. Its event app for college coaches, EventBeacon, gives coaches schedules, rosters, and evaluation tools at select soccer events, and it pulls from free and Pro profiles alike, so you do not need Pro to appear in event coaches' books.
The free profile includes unlimited video, a highlight reel editor, school search, a target list, and a view of open roster needs. Pro adds messaging to any college coach, tracking of which colleges viewed you, and a roster needs filter that includes men's and women's soccer. SportsRecruits shows the Pro price only after login; clubs and families report about $99 a month or $399 a year for a direct subscription, which is a reported figure, not an official one. Subscriptions are non-refundable under its terms, the Pro app is iOS only, and SportsRecruits has been owned by IMG Academy, NCSA's parent, since May 2025.
If your club provides Pro, use it fully: make sure your club's event schedule shows on your profile and message coaches before each showcase. If you would be paying yourself, the free profile already gets you into event coaches' books, so weigh Pro against an outreach tool that writes and tracks your emails.
TopDrawerSoccer: rankings and commitments for $109 a year
TopDrawerSoccer is worth $109 a year if you want to follow rankings and commitments and add a player profile on a site coaches visit, but it is a media site, not an outreach tool.
Premier Membership costs $109 for one year, $139 for two, $169 for three, or $189 for four, and includes rankings, commitment tracking, editorials, a recruiting guide, and a player profile. TopDrawerSoccer says 2,500+ college coaches visit the site daily through its college scoreboard. It also runs an ID camp directory and Top 150 and Top 200 player rankings by class.
Use it to see where players at your level are committing and to find ID camps. It will not contact a coach for you.
SoccerWire: a one-time profile on a soccer media site
SoccerWire's player profile is a secondary visibility tool, not a first purchase.
SoccerWire sells player profiles as a one-time payment: Basic $99, Featured $299, or Featured PLUS $399, each described on its page as a one-time payment for life. It adds visibility on a soccer media site, but like TopDrawerSoccer, it does not do outreach for you.
ScoutingZone: cheap, and strongest at its partner events
ScoutingZone is a low-cost pick for players who attend the showcases it partners with, where college coaches use it to build watch lists.
The player profile is free. Own The Zone costs $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year and adds college search and coach email tools. ScoutingZone partners with 65+ major recruiting events a year, including US Club Soccer and US Youth Soccer events, and club partners can give players a free Own The Zone upgrade. It claims 125,000 players and 3,500 coaches.
Check whether your events and your club use it before you pay; if your club is a partner, the upgrade may already be free.
NCSA: a guided program with unpublished prices
NCSA fits soccer families who want a paid human recruiting coach and accept a sales call to get a price; club players who already get event exposure should start with the free profile.
NCSA (Next College Student Athlete) is a for-profit recruiting company founded in 2000, based in Chicago, and owned by IMG Academy, which also acquired SportsRecruits in May 2025. The free NCSA app lets athletes build a profile, add film, and see coach views. Premium members get more coach view tracking, a message center, and guided education from recruiting coaches.
Prices are not published. NCSA asks families to schedule a call for a personalized quote, and families report packages of $2,000 to $6,000+ (our NCSA cost guide has the details). Its iOS app is rated 2.8 out of 5 from 1,384 ratings. A package buys guidance and accountability; it does not put you in front of coaches at showcases. Pay for it if you want a person telling you what to do next and you can afford it.
FieldLevel: free, and strongest when your club coach uses it
FieldLevel is the best free soccer network when your club coach is active on it, with published Premium prices if you want to contact colleges first.
FieldLevel is a coach-to-coach network: verified high school and club coaches connect with college coaches and recommend athletes, and college coaches post recruiting needs on live men's and women's soccer needs boards. The free plan is $0 forever with unlimited video, stats, search visibility, and coach references. The catch on free is that you cannot send the first message to a college coach; the college coach has to start the conversation.
Premium is published. Silver is $29 a month ($278 a year) and adds college activity, matches, and research. Gold is $49 a month ($470 a year) and adds needs alerts, 20 college contacts a month, and a 2X profile boost. Platinum is $79 a month ($758 a year) with unlimited contacts and a 5X boost. If your club coach buys bulk seats, annual Gold costs $79 to $139 per athlete. The iOS app is rated 4.9 from 2,567 ratings, and on August 4, 2026 the NJCAA named FieldLevel its Official Recruiting Network, which matters if junior college soccer is on your list.
NextGoal: soccer-focused Gmail outreach, prices not published
NextGoal is worth comparing if you want automated soccer outreach from your Gmail, but it does not publish prices, so you cannot compare cost before you sign in with Google.
NextGoal positions itself as personalized emails to college coaches sent from the athlete's own Gmail, with open and click tracking and school fit scores, and its site describes it as an AI-powered college soccer recruiting platform. Its pricing page redirects to the homepage and its join page requires Google sign-in before any plan is shown, so we do not list a price. Its marketing cites 4,500+ athletes and parents, 1,200+ verified offers, and 74% of users hearing back in their first week; those are its own claims.
NextCommit works the same basic way (personalized emails from your own inbox), publishes its prices, and also offers native coach DMs on X on Pro. Our NextGoal review compares the two in detail.
ProductiveRecruit: flat-price Gmail outreach with club customers
ProductiveRecruit fits self-directed soccer families who want high-volume email from their own Gmail at a flat $29 a month.
Recruit Pro is $29 a month or $290 a year. It sends from the athlete's own Gmail, up to 150 coach emails a day, with open and click tracking, and it claims 90,000+ college coach contacts across 24 sports, including soccer. The 7-day free trial has full features but requires a card and caps you at 10 emails and 10 target schools. Its pricing page features a testimonial from Rush Soccer Club's CAP director and claims 400+ organizations and 25,000+ athletes.
Its public pricing page centers on contacts, sending volume, and tracking. NextCommit centers on writing a personalized email for each coach; our ProductiveRecruit alternative page compares the two.
CaptainU: budget self-serve tools
CaptainU is a budget self-serve option with published monthly prices, and Youth Inc lists it among its soccer recruiting resources.
Bronze is a free profile. Silver is $22.50 a month and adds messaging, templates, and seeing who viewed your profile. Gold is $39.95 a month and adds up to one meeting a month with a recruiting counselor, and Platinum is $199.95 a month with a dedicated counselor. There is no contract, and new athletes get a free two-week trial of some Silver features, capped at 10 colleges and 10 messages.
MLQ Ventures LLC, led by a senior CaptainU staff member, acquired CaptainU effective April 6, 2026, after a period when the product was branded Stack Athlete. Its Trustpilot score was 2.0 from 48 reviews on September 30, 2026, and the complaint families describe most is coach-activity alerts that turned out to be broad searches rather than real interest. CaptainU's FAQ explains that a search alert means your profile matched a coach's search filters.
NextCommit: personalized coach emails for men's and women's soccer
NextCommit is the pick if you want an email written for each college soccer coach from your film and numbers, sent from your own inbox before the showcase, at a published price that starts free.
NextCommit is our product, so weigh this section with that in mind. Free is $0 for 10 coach emails a week with the full coach database (35,000+ coaches at 1,800+ schools), AI-personalized emails, bulk send and scheduling, school profiles, a recruiting profile builder, templates, and favorites. Each email is written for that coach from your stats, film, grades, and goals, you review it before it goes, and it sends from your own inbox. Scheduling lets you line up emails to the coaches on your list the week before a showcase.
Varsity is $19.99 a month or $119.94 a year for 50 emails a week, plus open tracking, reply and film-view tracking, a message center, automated follow-ups, and smart reply suggestions. Pro is $49.99 a month or $299.94 a year for 200 emails a week, plus native coach DMs on X, the Recruit Score with a projected division level, NIL valuation, school matching and fit, roster needs analysis, areas of improvement analysis, and a 24/7 recruiting assistant. In our platform data, coaches opened about 46% of athlete emails. There is no sales call, and monthly plans cancel anytime. Clubs and academies can use a separate white-label version, priced by roster size (contact us for pricing).
The honest limits: coaches do not browse a NextCommit profile network the way they search SportsRecruits or FieldLevel, so it is an outreach tool, not a discovery network. There is no human advisor, it runs no events or showcases, and it covers seven sports, including men's and women's soccer. Use it alongside your club's showcase schedule, not instead of it.
Soccer recruiting stack by budget
Check what your club and events already provide before you buy anything. Here is how we would combine tools at each budget, using prices checked September 30, 2026.
Parent-facing soccer lists, such as Youth Inc's from May 2025, mix media sites (TopDrawerSoccer, SoccerWire) with tools (SportsRecruits, ScoutingZone, CaptainU, FieldLevel, NCSA), which suggests families combine several cheap tools rather than buy one expensive service. Pay for one outreach tool at a time; two tools emailing the same coaches add cost without adding reach.
| Budget | What to use | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Your club's showcase schedule; a free SportsRecruits profile (or your club's Pro account if provided); free profiles on FieldLevel, ScoutingZone, and NCSA; NextCommit Free for 10 personalized coach emails a week | $0 (club and ID camp fees vary) |
| Low | The free stack plus ScoutingZone Own The Zone if your events use it, or TopDrawerSoccer Premier for rankings and commitments | $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year; TopDrawerSoccer $109 a year |
| Mid | The free stack plus one outreach tool: NextCommit Varsity for tracking and automated follow-ups, ProductiveRecruit for flat-price Gmail volume, or FieldLevel Gold if your club coach is active there | $19.99 to $49 a month |
| Upper | NextCommit Pro for 200 emails a week, coach DMs on X, the Recruit Score, and roster needs analysis; or SportsRecruits Pro if your club does not provide it | $49.99 a month; SportsRecruits Pro reported at about $99 a month or $399 a year |
| High | A human guide: CaptainU Platinum with a dedicated counselor, or an NCSA package | $199.95 a month, or packages families report at $2,000 to $6,000+ |
Which soccer recruiting service should you choose?
| Your situation | Best fit |
|---|---|
| Your club or showcase provides SportsRecruits | Use it fully and keep your profile and event schedule current; no need to buy Pro yourself |
| Your club plays in ECNL, MLS NEXT, or another showcase league | Email the coaches on your list before each event with your schedule and film; NextCommit Free covers 10 a week |
| Your events use ScoutingZone | ScoutingZone free profile, or Own The Zone at $9.99 a month |
| You want to follow rankings and commitments | TopDrawerSoccer Premier ($109 a year) |
| Your club coach is active on FieldLevel | FieldLevel free, then Gold ($49 a month) to contact colleges first |
| You want each coach to get a personal email from your inbox, with tracking | NextCommit, free to start; Varsity $19.99 a month |
| You will write your own emails and want high volume at a flat price | ProductiveRecruit ($29 a month) |
| You are comparing AI soccer outreach tools | NextGoal and NextCommit; see our NextGoal review, since NextGoal does not publish prices |
| You want a human recruiting coach and can afford it | NCSA, or CaptainU Gold or Platinum at a monthly price |

FAQ
Coach email questions athletes ask most
What is the best soccer recruiting website?
SportsRecruits, for club players whose club or events use it, because the Elite Academy League and EDP Soccer showcases run recruiting through it and some clubs provide accounts free. Add TopDrawerSoccer ($109 a year) if you want rankings and commitment tracking, and a direct outreach tool such as NextCommit (our product, free for 10 personalized coach emails a week) so coaches hear from you before each showcase. No website replaces playing in front of coaches at showcases and ID camps.
Is SportsRecruits worth it for soccer?
Yes, when your club or showcase provides it, and the free profile is worth having either way. SportsRecruits does not publish its Pro price; clubs and families report about $99 a month or $399 a year for a direct subscription, and its terms say subscriptions are non-refundable. Free profiles already appear in college coaches' event books through EventBeacon, so pay for Pro yourself mainly if you want to message coaches inside the platform and see which colleges viewed you.
Is TopDrawerSoccer worth it?
Yes, if you want rankings, commitment tracking, and a player profile for a low price: Premier Membership was $109 for one year and $189 for four years on September 30, 2026. TopDrawerSoccer says 2,500+ college coaches visit the site daily through its college scoreboard. It is a media and rankings site, not an outreach tool, so it will not contact coaches for you.
Do I need ECNL or MLS NEXT to play college soccer?
No. ECNL and MLS NEXT events concentrate college scouts (top ECNL girls showcases averaged more than 1,000 scouts each, and MLS NEXT Fest 2025 expected about 250 college programs), which makes being seen easier, but no NCAA rule requires a particular league. Players outside those leagues get seen at other showcases, such as the US Club Soccer and US Youth Soccer events ScoutingZone partners with, at college ID camps, and through direct emails with film.
What is the best free soccer recruiting site?
SportsRecruits' free profile, if your club or events use it, because free profiles appear in college coaches' event books through EventBeacon. FieldLevel's free plan is the best free option when your club coach is active on it, ScoutingZone offers a free profile tied to 65+ partner events a year, and NextCommit (our product) lets you send 10 AI-personalized coach emails a week for free.
When can college soccer coaches contact recruits?
June 15 after sophomore year, for Division I men's and women's soccer. That is when Division I coaches can start sending recruiting materials and electronic correspondence and making recruiting calls; soccer is not one of the sport exceptions. Off-campus in-person contact starts August 1 at the start of junior year. You can still play in front of coaches at showcases and send them your film before then.
