# Baseball Pitcher Recruiting Standards

## Velocity Benchmarks

| Division | Typical Fastball Range |
|---|---|
| NCAA D1 | 88-95+ mph |
| NCAA D2 | 84-88 mph |
| NCAA D3 | 80-86 mph |
| JUCO | 82-88 mph |

Velocity is only one input. Coaches also evaluate command, secondary pitch quality, strike-throwing, projection, body, athleticism, grades, and whether the athlete fits current roster needs.
